Dieter Oest IMSA GTO

Porsche Dieter Oest and Milt Minter raced this car in IMSA and the Exxon Supreme GT series from 1990 to 1994. Built on a 1977 930 chassis this car is also a veteran of many historic racing events such as the Monterey Pre-Reunion, The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Rennsport Reunion, The Brian Redman at Road America, SVRA at COTA. 

Engine is 3.2 liter single turbo with under one hours of dyno time, under two hours of track time and no race time. Chris Carroll at Turbo-Kraft rebuilt the engine and upgraded the engine management to a Motec M130 programable ECU and a new custom built 2-piece EFI wiring harness. During the rebuild, completed in April 2022, every component of the engine was serviced or new. Nothing was left untouched at a cost of $49,935.59. PERFORMANCE COATINGS - Piston skirts under side, main bearings JWE valve springs with light weight retainers. 

RODS - Pauter, reconditioned 

TURBO - GT35R INTAKE - Injector blocks and intake manifold machined to match at 40mm 

OIL COOLER - Front mounted oil cooler was flushed, cleaned and pressure tested. 

CRANKSHAFT - 74.4mm was inspected & magnaflux, grind 0.010" main journals & 0.020" on the rod journals, Dynamic balanced, Ion Plasma Nitride, straightened & all journals micro-polished. 

CAMSHAFT - Web Camshafts, Valve lift .464 intake; .426 exhaust. Duration 254 and 244 degrees, respectively 

OIL PUMP - inspected & serviced. pump is ported & polished 

SCAVENGE PUMP - serviced. 

ROCKER ARMS - clean & magnaflux, coat, install new bushings, hone. Grind & polish. 

PISTONS - Balance, Dry film coat skirts and underside, Total Seal rings 

HEAD STUDS - ARP Racing cylinder head studs w billet washers and 12 point nuts 

HEADS - Hone bore; heat heads install new chilled guides & ream to size; Cut valve seats to correct three angle, lap valves to seats; Set up racing valve spring heights & pressures for high lift camshafts. Leakdown test heads. 

DYNO - Test and tune on Dynapack. Trans - 930 4 speed with three races from fresh. Limited slip. 

FUEL CELL - ATL approx 3 1/2 years since new. 

SUSPENSION - A Rebel Racing Products 935 front suspension. Adjustable sway bars, 935 spring plates, and front and rear coil-overs. Slotted rear pick-up points. 

ROLL CAGE - Full roll cage with reinforced rear shock towers. 

OIL SYSTEM - New oiling system by Roger Hamlin in April of 2024 to include, Modify front mounted oil tank for more capacity and larger Oil lines, mount new large remote oil filter, modify oil cooler for larger fittings, flush and clean cooler, fabricate large oil hard lines, plumb new oil system. 

SAFETY - installed new in April 2024, LifeLine Zero 2020 FIA 3 LITER Electric Fire Suppression System, Sabelt Silver safety harness, SFI Roll Bar Padding 

PRE - Full car prep performed by Retro Sport. Receipts are available and inspections welcome in the SF Bay Area.
