G50/993/GT2-3 Kaaz 1.5way Limited Slip Differential

$1,645.00
To reduce chattering, we recommend using a moly-based lubricant applied to the clutches within the differential like the U.S. Lubricants High Performance MoS2 assembly lube, or the Liqui Moly LM 48.

All KAAZ differentials are shipped to lock under acceleration - so please refer to the images down below if you'd like to change whether the differential locks under acceleration or locks under braking.

Stock will vary. Please contact us for possible lead times.

  • 1.5 Way

A 1.5-way limited-slip differential is the most common LSD upgrade option in performance and race cars. It is referred to as a 1.5-way because it functions under acceleration and to a lesser extent under deceleration. It provides differential locking characteristics under acceleration, maximizing power distribution to the wheels that need it most. Under deceleration, the 1.5-way LSD engages to assist in braking stability and smoother turn-in.

    SuperQ (WPC treatment)

Every Kaaz limited-slip differential is offered in a SuperQ variant. SuperQ units feature reduced chattering and smoother engagement for an enhanced driving experience. With the help of WPC metal treatment, SuperQ limited-slip differentials also come with better heat dissipation and longer wear life with no break-in process required. Just like all of Kaaz’s limited-slip differentials, SuperQ units allow for locking rate adjustments.

    Technical Information

KAAZ differentials are designed and engineered to be used in competition motorsports. They are supplied from the factory to react quickly and strongly when it reaches the ex-factory preload (100% Locking). This is ideal for smooth, dry tarmac circuit use.

For some drivers/ conditions, a “softer” setting may be required. There are several ways this can be achieved, but the general option is by reducing the amount of friction surfaces. By re-arranging the order of the plates, various options are available depending on the total number of plates in the differential.

The diagram below shows the stacking option for your application. The differential has the same number of plates on both sides and the plate configuration MUST be the same on both. Below shows just one side.

*The original quantity of plates must be retained, as well as the Belleville (cone) spring washer(s)
